CONSERVATION AT RIVER RANCH
2:31pm, Sunday 21 June 2009.
Will we still be enjoying everthing that the RRPOA has to offer 1 year, 2 years or 5 years from nowω Having a membership to this association is a unique opportunity that can't be found anywhere else in this area. We enjoy access to many outdoor activities such as: trail riding, camping, fishing and hunting. Along with enjoying these activities comes the responsibility to protect them. You may not know it, but our non profit organization was specifically designed to protect, maintain and manage the environment.
Our association bylaws read in part:
" Article III - The General Purpose of the Association - To maintain, manage and if necessary, improve the existing habitats that support important plant and animal species. The primary goals of management of the River Ranch Property Owners Association are:
1. To enhance, preserve, and protect critical habitat for rare, theatened and endangered species.
2. To conserve, protect, manage or restore important natural ecosystems, landscapes and forested areas in order to protect significant surface water, recteational activities, and wildlife resources which are currently individually owned.
To promote and assist the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the enforcement of the general Game and Fish Rules and Regulations of the State of Florida, the Florida Wildlife Code and other regulations dedicated to preserving and/or enhancing valuable ecosystems, wildlife populations, and natural habitat areas in River Ranch.
We have a responsibility to uphold and continue the commitment we made when this organization was established.
The Board of Directors and the Conservation Committee will be discussing and implementing programs to ensure that we are abiding by our own rules and regulations that will help us to achieve our goals as set forth in our Bylaws.
Please note that the full ByLaws will be posted in the Member Only section as soon as possible.
Kids Fishing Pond

Proper Sign In Information
12:01pm, Saturday 14 February 2009.
It is very important that when members come to the gate that everyone over 16 years of age sign in. This is due to a requirement from the insurance company.
Everyone signing in needs to make sure thay are putting the proper camp number and information. In the last two weeks there has been both kids and adults lost on the property. Incorrect information resulted in delays of locating family members.
Everyone should make sure their camp information is up to date. Correct phone numbers and especially cell phone numbers. Please check it the next time you are at the gate. This information can help you in emergency situations and expedite people getting to you..
ATV's & Flags
7:13am, Sunday 18 January 2009.
There have been alot of ATV's riding on the property without flags. It is required that all ATV's have a flag. This is for eveyones safety. The flags allow other vehicles to see you coming around blind corners and areas with thick brush. There have been numerous reports of collisions and near collisions that could have been prevented with the use of flags. It is suggested that all vehicles utilize a flag so they can be seen.
Also it is a Florida statute 316.2074 requires everyone under the age of 16 while on or operating an ATV must wear a helmet and eye protection.
